never-ending cycle

$20.00

made from thrifted materials. a contribution to w.a.s.t.e. collective x East End Arts Toronto community quilt for Nuit Blanche East Danforth Toronto.

below, answered for the above, I wrote my response to "What does slow fashion mean to you?"

"It's a never-ending cycle of treasuring, celebrating, and respecting materials. Sourcing secondhand materials to sew with, I'm constantly inspired, finding more ways to translate my imagination. A medium with abundant supply, though too much, I’m grateful for. The clothing I purchase is cherished, cared for, and mended when need be. There is so much passion, creativity, and hard work going into diverting clothing/materials from landfills, and for me, that warrants optimism."
